Beyond the Booking

Q. Why should I use a travel advisor (TA) to book a cruise?
A. Working with a TA means having a knowledgeable partner to help you sort through the options, match you with the right cruise line & itinerary, & assist with the details that make a vacation feel seamless.

Q. What if I actually enjoy planning my own travel?
A.
Even if you love being hands-on, there is still real value in working with a travel advisor. If you already have a hotel, cruise, or resort in mind, I can help handle the booking and, when available, secure added benefits such as complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, early check-in, late check-out, or other partner perks — often at no additional cost to you. I can also offer guidance on details that may not be obvious from a website alone, helping you choose with a little more confidence and a little less guesswork. Think of it as having a knowledgeable travel-loving resource in your corner.

Q. What are your qualifications?
A. I am affiliated with Cornerstone Collective LLC under its CLIA membership and also an independent CLIA travel advisor, with over 50 CLIA credits reflecting ongoing industry education and professional development.

Q. Is there an extra cost to book with you?
A. No, never. Partners build compensation into pricing,

Q. Do you only book cruises?
A. No. While custom cruises are a signature offering, a wide range of travel experiences can also be arranged, including hotels, resorts, all-inclusives, rail vacations, etc.

Q. Do I need travel insurance for a cruise?
A. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, particularly for international travel. It can offer valuable peace of mind and protection for certain unexpected issues & guidance is available in finding coverage that fits your vacation.

Q. How far in advance should I book?
A. In general, earlier booking offers the best selection of staterooms & pricing. Holiday sailings, popular itineraries, & specialty accommodations book especially quickly.

Q. Can you assist with shore excursions & onboard extras?
A. Yes. Help is available with many of the extras that can enhance your trip, including shore excursions, specialty experiences, & select onboard packages & add-ons for your sailing so you can decide which options fit your priorities.

Q. Can you help plan group cruises/land travel?
A. Yes. Group travel can involve many moving parts, & assistance is available with coordinating arrangements for families, friends, celebrations, reunions, & other getaways.

Q. Does my cruise cabin’s location really make a difference? A. It can make a meaningful difference in both comfort & convenience. Factors like proximity to elevators, noise from public spaces, motion in rougher seas, and how often you plan to visit places like the pool deck or dining venues can all affect which area of the ship is the best fit for you.

Q. Can you work with different budgets?
A. Thoughtful travel planning isn’t limited to one budget, & options can be tailored to a range of preferences/priorities.

Q. Are there opportunities as a travel professional?
A. I would be happy to connect! Please feel free to reach out through the website or by email for more information.
